now, i’m sure all sensible people know that this is an issue, but not many people know how big of an issue it is. i dont blame those who dont, really. not a lot of light is shed on it, and the mindset that “BLACK PEOPLE SHOULD COSPLAY BLACK PEOPLE!” or “ASIANS ARE THE ONLY GOOD COSPLAYERS!” is still perpetuated. 

THESE SCREENCAPS COULD UPSET SOME PEOPLE, BECAUSE VERY HATEFUL THINGS ARE SAID. you’ve been warned. 

this is fucking disgusting and completely inexcusable.

to you people who do this: you are such children. 

how anyone could think like this, i dont fucking know, because it’s so backwards and reflects just how stupid they are. this happens so often, too often, and we really need to make it a point to realize that. 

i’m white (skip and i both), so i don’t know what it’s like to be put down for dressing in lolita for that reason. but what we DO know is that ANYONE of ANY RACE should cosplay or dress up how they want. since when are we so medieval that we let these barriers get in the way of dressing up as a fucking anime character? i don’t think people get how seriously they must be taking this, unnecessarily so, if they want to discourage people of different races from cosplaying a FUCKING ANIME CHARACTER outside of their own race.

guess what. if you think like this… if you truly think that someone SHOULD NOT dress how they want, that they SHOULD NOT cosplay as someone, because of their race?

you need to:

 please stop cosplaying.
